The Railway Inn - Congleton
About Us

As its name suggests the Railway Inn is situated a stones throw away from the railway station, in Congleton. The pub has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, under the expert guidance of its new manager, Alan Gowland. Nevertheless the pub still holds on to its traditional feel.

- Information

The 'railway theme' is still present and the interior stone walls are complemented beautifully by the new wooden panelling. The internal manoeuvrability is good and the tiled floor in the main pub area makes getting around a lot easier. With a separate pool room, games are always on the agenda at the Railway. If, on the other hand, you prefer watching to playing, the new large wide-screen TV with Sky Digital should provide ample entertainment. In case you require a little more mind stimulation, the Railway Inn hosts a pub quiz every Monday night, (where the quiz winners automatically win £50,) and another on Thursday night with a prize of £15, with a chance to gamble for more!  Both nights include other games like card bingo and play your cards right. We also have free wireless internet access.

The accessible adapted toilet is located in the rear foyer along with wide double doors that provide an easy, level entrance. The foyer also connects to the large restaurant area where a delicious, well-priced meal can be enjoyed.

Outside, there is a large, private car park with a tarmac surface. Access to the Railway Inn is via a gentle sloping path. The large beer garden is located on the other side of the car park and overlooks the local bowling green. The numerous trellises add to the ambience, making it a delightful place to enjoy a drink on those warm summer evenings.
